“In any given moment we have two options: to step forward into growth or to step back into safety.”
Hello & welcome! My name is Kathy Ziecik and I am an emerging professional in the mental health field. As a psychotherapist, I was trained in psychodynamic as well as cognitive behavior therapy and I utilize an eclectic approach to tailor my treatment strategy according to the needs of each individual client. I am dedicated to helping others develop healthy and practical coping strategies and believe in a warm and collaborative therapeutic relationship as a foundation for developing trust and achieving desired outcomes. I also utilize creative art techniques throughout the treatment process to promote wellness and healing through a variety of mediums.
I have experience working with individuals who present with self-esteem issues, addiction, trauma, and mood disorders in community mental health agencies and in private practice. I enjoy working with clients of all ages as well as couples and families. My clinical interests include cultural issues, life transitions, phobias, and relationship difficulties. I also provide Polish speaking counseling services.
Outside of the office, my days are spent reading, designing, and creating. I am forever a student and as a result, am always reading at least 3 books at once. I dabble in numerous creative pursuits including graphic design, painting, and photography. Aesthetics can be a powerful tool when coupled with intention. On that note, I try my best to live life on purpose and I hope you will find information throughout this site to encourage you to live the very best version of you.
